Portugal—traveling along the wild west coast, we embark on our multi-day journey from Porto to Nazaré, the home of the world’s highest waves. As the sun sets, we wade into the sea, the golden light reflecting off the water. Then, without warning, a seemingly harmless wave catches us off guard. What looked gentle at first is anything but—we’re pulled into the ocean’s grasp, tumbled and tossed like clothes in a washing machine. The sheer force of the wave is relentless, its power undeniable. It feels like an eternity before we finally break free, breathless, exhilarated, and in awe of the sea’s untamed strength.
Fjord

Fjord—one of the most breathtaking places on this earth, at least through my eyes. A mesmerizing tapestry of small islands scattered along the coast, ever-changing with the seasons. In winter, frozen in silent stillness; in summer, lush and almost jungle-like, bursting with life and color. This serenity pulls me away from the chaos of everyday life, grounding me in a world that feels untouched by time. Here, in this peaceful embrace of nature, I wish I could stay forever.
Thunderstorm

Energy crackles in the air, unseen yet powerful, as the storm brews. I am right in the middle of it, feeling every surge of energy. Lightning strikes, a flash of fire slicing through the sky, a fierce burst of nature's force. For a moment, everything pauses—held in the intense light. I see the lightning up close, feel its power pulse through the air. Then, the thunder rolls, deep and resonant, like the earth's own heartbeat echoing across the heavens. It’s a reminder of nature’s raw power, of the constant movement and pulse beneath the surface. With every flash and growl, the world trembles, alive with energy, a wild, beautiful rhythm that connects everything.
Autumn

I lie here in the forest, autumn wrapping itself around me. I look up at the sky, and it feels as though the trees—now bare of their golden leaves—are fleeing towards the sun. The sunlight kisses the treetops, trying to nourish them with its final rays before winter arrives. I lie on the soft ground, the air rich with the scent of earth, still heavy with the freshness of rain. I take a deep breath, feeling the moment seep into my soul.

It’s just after the height of the pandemic, and my sister and I pack up our few belongings and head toward the mountains. Progress is slow; some areas are already covered in snow. When we finally arrive, we set out on a snowy hike, our footsteps crunching in the silence of the winter landscape. As we walk, we have deep, meaningful conversations about the time we’ve been through and the dreams we hold for the future. We stand before the majestic Weißkugel mountain, and I’m struck by its beauty. I stare, lost in awe, for what feels like an eternity, trying to etch the view into my memory, as if to carry a piece of this breathtaking moment with me forever.
Black sea

The Black Sea, the sea that unites six countries. Not all that vast, yet so rich in its diversity—different languages, cultures, religions, waves, colors, marine life, energy, winds. Each part of it carries its own story, its own rhythm, but together, they create something greater—a harmony found only in the depth of its waters. The Black Sea, a living mosaic of contrasts, where every wave tells a tale of faraway lands and ancient traditions.

After a long journey in China, I fly back to home—and as I gaze out of the window, the mountains unfolds before me, lush and vibrant, painted in the richest shades of green. Feeld like a homecoming, like a deep breath after a long time away. From a distance, the contours appear slightly blurred, as if the mountains are wrapped in a soft haze—distant, yet familiar, like a memory just out of reach. I soak in the breathtaking view of Mongolia’s untouched nature from the airplane window, letting its vast beauty fill me one last time.

My long-awaited journey to Vietnam—so breathtaking in all the lush green shades of the Sapa region. My best friend Julia and me on a four-day motorcycle adventure through the stunning mountains of northern Vietnam. I’m sitting on my bike, headphones in, soaking in the landscape while listening to the music of Hans Zimmer. Never before have I felt so free.

It’s summer, and a three-month sabbatical lies ahead of me. My friends raise their glasses, toasting to the beauty of this season. Everywhere I look, people in the bar are sipping Aperol Spritz—the vibrant neon-orange-pink hue glowing in the sunlight. The color of summer, of pure joy! It’s the shade of liveliness, desire, and freedom!
